Fusion Salad

  • grated may turnips
  • some cucumber
  • some crumbs of feta

  • shallot
  • horseradish
  • lime juice
  • orange marmalade
  • cream
  • salt

top with
  • some smashed instant noodles
  • coriander

Also possible to give this a more Asian twist with spring onion and by using soy sauce, ginger, and peanut oil instead of cream and salt.

Apricot and Chickpea Salad

  • some dried apricots (or fresh, if available)
  • black olives
  • chickpeas
  • feta cheese

  • half a shallot
  • 2-3 finely chopped sundried tomatoes
  • lime juice
  • orange marmalade
  • some soy sauce
  • olive oil
  • some salt to taste

  • spring onion
  • parsley
  • pine nuts

Broad Bean and Tomato Salad

  • broad beans
  • tomatoes
  • smoked tofu
  • spring onion
  • half a pear
  • parsley

  • some seasoned sunflower oil
  • some soy sauce
  • some sambal oelek
  • a dash of roasted sesame oil
  • smoked salt
  • bitter orange marmalade

Snowed Under Colourful Garden Salad

It's not like we would've found any of these ingredients in the garden as yet, but "colourful greenhouse salad" just does not sound as appealing I suppose.

You need

  • tender lettuce - any kind, really, apart from iceberg or bitter varieties
  • half a cucumber, sliced
  • half a red pepper
  • 2 spring onion
  • some fresh herbs, here: half parsley, half coriander

  • half a shallot, very finely chopped, cover with
  • lemon juice
  • salt and brown sugar
  • some pepper, then put
  • a few drops of olive oil
  • half a teaspoon of mustard
  • cream
  • yoghurt
  • a pinch of nutmeg

Broad Bean Salad

Hello salad world, we're back! Did you miss us? A lot?

Spring seems just around the corner, but not quite ready yet. While we're waiting for that new range of veggies to appear on the shelves, here's some more winter magic:

  • broad beans
  • orange
  • half a cucumber, seeds out
  • some pickled onions
  • some pistachios

  • half a shallot
  • chopped sundried tomatoes
  • sweet orange jam
  • olive oil
  • some vegie broth
  • a dash of smoked sesame oil
  • pepper
  • salt, smoked if available
  • white balsamico
