Glass Noodles W/O the Glass Noodles

  • cucumber
  • carrot
  • red pepper
  • bamboo
  • onion to taste 
  • coriander

all chopped in 'julienne' fashion (thin stripes)

  • lime juice
  • sambal oelek
  • soy sauce
  • peanut oil
  • roasted sesame oil
  • tom yum spice mix
  • peanuts
We will re-do this salad with the actual glass noodles next week. Glass noodles can be found in either noodle or Asia section of your reliable local supermarket and are sometimes also known by the name vermicelli.

Oriental Salad with Dates, Nuts, Parsley & Tahini


  • almonds, chopped
  • dry black olives, chopped
  • sundried tomatoes, chopped
  • dates, chopped (not too many, since they make it very sweet)




  • orange filets
  • radishes
  • thyme
  • parsley
  • spring onion




  • tahini
  • lemon & orange juice, some white balsamic vinegar
  • warm water


  • salt
  • black pepper

Chickpeas would be nice to give this some protein. Artichokes.

Avocado Sweetcorn Salad with Almonds

  • almonds
  • red chili
  • avocado
  • fresh coriander
  • red pepper
  • sweetcorn
  • sundried tomatoes

  • lime juice
  • juice of half an orange
  • orange marmalade
  • shallot
  • maple syrup
  • salt
  • pepper
  • olive oil

Semi Hot Paneer Salad with Fresh Peas

  • paneer, chopped into cubes
  • almonds, chopped

Place both in the oven, topped with a bit of

  • butter or oil, 
  • salt and
  • garam masala

until soft and fragrant.

Add to mix of
  • tomatoes
  • cucumber
  • coriander leaves
Dress with
  • shallot, chopped finely
  • garlic
  • lemon juice
  • a mashed tomato
  • salt
  • some oil
  • some turmeric powder
  • mustard
  • maple syrup or brown sugar
