Superman and Sherlock both clueless!

I won't tell you why.

This sure looked good:

Fresh figs (again, because we have never stopped loving them since we fell for them last week)
Carrots cut in "schöne Scheibchen" (thin slices)
Red pepper/capsicum
Marinated sundried tomatoes (and some dried figs from the same marinade, that was the original idea, only those dried figs were never so great to begin with)

Finely chopped shallot
Marinade from figs and sundried (that had soy, honey white vinegar, olive oil)
salt, pepper

Private Entertainment

Autumn delights were looking too tempting today to let this one pass unnoticed:

I got a small hokkaido pumpkin at the market, boiled the cubes in some veggie broth and preboiled ginger slices (i had those as I am constantly drinking fresh hot ginger water to fight the approaching cold) until tender.

This goes nicely with the corn lettuce that is in season again.

Dress with
a small onion
fresh red chili
olive oil
lemon juice
some sesame oil
salt or soy sauce
honey

Top with pumpkin and sesame seeds

Purple Rain

Hard to admit, but it looks like the winter half of the year has officially started. Only 6 more months to go for some warm weather ... sigh.

While the heat is gone and the non stop drizzle outside  is getting colder, lets stick to colour for a bit to cling to those fond summer memories ... Let's all be brave, ok?

red chicory or radiccio
orange peel
carrots, cut into fancy curls with a vegetable peeler

orange maramalade, lots
red onion
pearl onions (pickled - with balsamico)
white wine vinegar
olive oil
salt

Some pine nuts would be nice. We only had walnuts.
